In doctor speak he had: an extended right hepatectomy with vein reconstruction.  He did not have to go on the bypass machine and was extubated to nasal cannula oxygen right after the procedure. As you all know, we have been praying very hard for this surgery, and it took the world expert, and all around spectacular person, Dr. Marwan Abouljoud to get the tumor out and rebuild Thomas' liver (11 hour miracle surgery!!!)<div><br /></div><div>He has responded well to the chemo as well; he has had 11 treatment from Dr. El-Rayes at Karmanos Hospital in Detroit, a real motivated genius and friendly, supportive person.</div><div><br /></div><div>We are so happy and thank you all for your prayers.  Keep Thomas and all his doctors in your prayers for the next steps to come.</div><div><br /></div><div>Babies Lily and Vivien are doing fabulous..
